At the moment there has been some problems with uploading my scanned in images. I have tried to publish them and they come up with a box with a cross in it. I'll get this resolved a soon as possible. Sorry for the inconvenience :/

I Like Trains Music Video Analysis (2/3)
'I Like Trains' is an animated music video created by 'TomSka' and I found this music video on YouTube. It has had over 5 million hits on YouTube and the main audience on YouTube is Males between the ages 13-17 and 18-24 and for females it is 18-24. It was released 23 September 2011 and comes under comedy. I find this music video very funny and also it has a number non diegetic titles on the music video which I like a lot.
The very first shot is of the diegetic titles of the music videos title called 'I Like Trains' We can see the 'I like trains kid' stood on top of the train as the train is moving on the track and a rainbow behind it, this rainbow could represent a number of feelings of the 'I like trains kid' as throughout the music video he has different feelings. The rainbow can also connotation as him being happy, him being happy also is reflected on the pace of the music too, all of the titles are very upbeat and in sync with the music too.
The 'I like trains kid' is enjoying himself while sat on the front of the train, it is making him happy as he keeps saying 'I like trains'.
It then goes through a story line of his life very quickly because the only thing that he likes is trains.
It first shows him being really cool just standing there in his glasses then it quickly moves on to that there must be something wrong with him as the only thing that he likes is trains. We can see that trains are the only things that are on his mind because when then next scene comes up really quickly we can see him looking into the mirror and him not seeing his reflection but a train instead. The lyrics are very in sync with what is on the screen. When the lyrics say 'there is something wrong with his brain' there is a close up of his brain and you can see is his brain in the shape of a train. After you get to see him in a medium shot and him saying that he likes trains and then it repeats to the chorus of the song again. There is the use of the non-diegetic titles used a lot within this music video, but instead of it being used too much, it is used just enough and it does have a very good effect on the music video. It is very fantasy and it is mixed with wild life as there is a low angle shot of the 'I like trains kid' sat on the front of the train and you can see trains flying in the air with wings. It then goes back to talk about his life and when he was born he never spoke a word to anyone when he was a baby but when he got to school and the teacher asked for his name he said 'I like trains' and as he says it a train comes and demolishes the full school. Then coming back to the chorus where he is again sat on the front of the train but instead of the trains being in the air, they are hopping above the water like dolphins, again another wild life reference, to him trains are alive. The story then goes through him getting ready to be married and then right at the last minute he says 'I like trains' and then everything repeats again. From on then the beat changes and if he doesn’t like something all he does is say 'I like trains' and then everything is better for him from then and on. Then the beat totally slows down and has reference to YouTube about the like and dislike button which shows the synergy here, it has been posted on YouTube and the only place you would find something like this would be on YouTube. Right at the end he says that he likes trains once more and then it ends with a poof of smoke.
Within this music animation video there a number of dominant camera angles. For examples there is the close up of the 'I like trains kid' in the beginning shot. It then quickly zooms out to reveal a wide angle shot of the train and the environments surroundings. There is the use of low and high angle shots too. When the 'I like trains kid' is at the altar he gives a smile, this is a high angle shot, this angle being used to show that he is being looked down on by his wife stood there. There is also when he is in the doctor’s office too when he is sitting there sad. The low angle shot is when he is on the train, this shot is used to show he is happy and most of all, he is confident too.
The prime colours used within this music video is the rainbow and also red for the blood. The rainbow shows that he is very happy when he says 'I like trains'. The colour red is used mainly when he says that 'I like trains' and people get ran over by a train.
Within this music video there is a story behind the 'I like trains kid' as it starts off by him saying 'I like trains' and then goes straight into his life by saying about what happened when he was a kid, then what happened when he was in school then after that it goes to him being in a doctor’s office and him being prescribed some pills that stop him saying 'I like trains' then he turns his life around and at the last minute it happens all again, he says 'I like trains'.
The genre of this music video would have to be a parody; not very sure on the music genre as I wouldn’t know how to classify it, I can classify it as being very upbeat though.
The conventions of a parody is something that makes the audience laugh a lot but most importantly it has to be aimed at the right type of audience with the right type of humour, having the wrong type of humour have a bad effect on a video which is supposed to be funny
Music Video Audacity Track Edited
Here is the music track that I have created for the music video. It is very effective as I talked about in my previous blog.
Here is the uploaded track that had been made available on youtube, this is the sound track that we will be using for our music video.

Rihanna Music Video Analysis (1/3)
Rihanna here is being represented in a dark and horrible place, the audience is able to distinguish this by the camera angles showing Rihanna running her fingers along the keys going down and the dark mise en scene. The non-diegetic sound of the scene as the camera shows the audience the mise en scene. Rihanna has the representations of being strong and doesn’t fear what is there. The name of the song being Disturbia has the connotation of something not right and the music video showing the things that aren’t right to the audience. The different effects on the camera, the quick shots of others the people within the frame also show that there isn’t something quite right about this scene.
Media Language and Forms:
Within the music video there are a number of things that relate back to the name of the name of the track being Disturbia, so within the music video the audiences expectations would be something that would be Disturbing to watch.
The distortion effect of the cinematography shows that there isn’t something quite right about the scene, this could be showing that the video isn’t quite clear about the fears in the video and it would project this on the audience making them wonder what could be there and instead; putting their fears within this.
There is the position of which Rihanna is sitting at the beginning of the video which suggests that she is her own woman and that she is powerful, the cinematography showing the dominance of this character, along with the dominant coloured red lipstick.
We can also tell that something is very wrong with Rihanna when she is behind bars with the zombie look in her eyes and the blond hair and she is trying to pull the bars apart, trying to reach out but she is trapped, also the light in the back flickering too representing a broken person or something wrong with them.
We see various shots of Rihanna rotating in a seat which could represent that her head feels like it is spinning. There is the dominance of the red lips which is seen throughout the black scenery. Throughout the music video there are different ways showing how Rihanna is being trapped where she is by being tied down or vertical and horizontal lines and even being physically being stuck somewhere. She even sings about being stuck and struggling to leave as she is sat and chained up in a very confined space.
At the end of the music video we can hear the sound of the piano being played and Rihanna rotating on her chair again suggesting that this head spinning experience hasn’t stopped and won’t stop.
The dominant camera angle within this music video is a close up to show the emotions but also there is a medium long shot to show the scene as well as the artist within the music video. By the use of these shots we get to see what is in the back ground and what is in the music video.
There are a number of prime colours within this music video. There is the black of the wall and also the clothing that Rihanna is wearing. There is the red lipstick which is very dominant within the frame where everything else blends in with the background. It makes it stand out from the background also it connotes danger or even passion. The scene has black and grey colour that connotes evil or the saying black sheep meaning an outcast. The people within the scene do seem a little odd to the world so it could connotation that they are outcasts.
The narrative of this music video is very abstract just like most music videos as it doesn’t really mean anything too much. The storyline here is an out of the box thinking as it does have hidden meanings.
This music video is about Rihanna going through her music career and that she has gone through so much and it also refers to a nightmare like past and as it is nightmare like she does make the music video a little dreamlike with the spiders and her arms stuck in the walls. The scene is underground, where the devil is and that connotes that she is the female devil. The narrative of the video as a whole is narrative as it doesn’t show instruments being played; it is Rihanna showing us a story line via a music video.
The genre of this music video is pop. From the conventions used within the music video there is the narrative and not really any instruments within the music video, only a piano but that isn’t used for performance, more like a prop.
The music video is mainly aimed at Rihanna fans and also fans of the genre Pop. I would say that this music video is aimed at people over the age of 15 as it does have an element of horror within it.

Fears Questionnaire - Horror Images and Reviewing Their Scare Factor
Here are some images that i have print screened from a horror movie or simply took them off google images and I really do think they are effective, I printed them off and showed 20 people and the results came back that people thought they were scary or very effective from the 10 images
QUESTIONNAIRE PRINT OFF
Here is the image sheet that will be shown to people.
Here is the complete Analysis Grid
From the results table I can see that the majourity of the questionnaires were answered by people between 14 and 20 years of age within my college.
The majourity of gender was Female.
The images that were reviewed by people in quesitons 5 and 6 shows that image 9 was the scariest and image 2 on question 6 was the least scariest.
By doing this questionnaire, it will help what differenty types of horror mainly effects people
Many thanks for everyone that helped

Status at the moment...
At the moment I am nearly done with my lyric analysis and it will be very soon scanned in and uploaded to my blog. I have been looking on the internet and watching movies that have the genre of horror within them to give me more of an idea for my intertextual referencing (the borrowing of other media texts). I have a series of images that I will be uploading in a different number of my imagery that contains strong horror, these are the things that I will be including into my music video, also I have done around 13 pages of storyboarding and they will be uploaded as well. Me and Sera will be coming into college during the week off and will be planning to get the story board done and ready to start filming. We both have started to think about the Prop, Cast and Location list and this will take us around 3 days to work out as we are still going along with the story board planning.
I also have been using a program called Audacity which is a audio editing program and I am using it to create the msuci video track, it is a very interesting track and it is effective, I have also created a survey for this track that I have created but asked 20 people and the results were good and we are very pleased. The music track is complete but im sure that there is something more that i can do to it to make it more scary.
We have also been looking at some make up for the music video and I have distinguished that make up isnt something to use and it will give the models some form of identification and that is something that i dont want included within my music video, also make up does take a while to put on and take off so we are thinking about using masks instead of make up, in the long term we have worked out that masks will be cheaper as we will have to buy more make up and if there is a mistake we wont have to hurry looking for alternative make up, masks and a costume is easier and also a lot more effective.

Say whatever you like
Scheiße scheiße be mine, scheiße be mine
Put on a show tonight,
Do whatever you like
Scheiße scheiße be mine, scheiße be mine
When I'm on a mission, I rebuke my condition
If you're a strong female you don't need permission
(Chorus)
I, I wish I got to dance on a single prayer
I, I wish I could be strong without somebody there
I, I wish I got to dance on a single prayer
I, I wish I could be strong without the scheiße, yeah
Oh oh oh oh oh
Without the scheiße, yeah
Oh oh oh oh oh
Without the scheiße, yeah
Oh oh oh oh oh
Without the scheiße, yeah

Scheiße scheiße be mine, bullshit be mine
Blonde high-heeled feminist, enlisting fame for this
Express your womankind, fight for your right
When I'm on a mission, I rebuke my condition
If you're a strong female you don't need permission
(Chorus)
I, I wish I got to could dance on a single prayer
I, I wish I could be strong without somebody there
